Throughout his tenure, Joe has been instrumental in reducing district debt by over $125 million while guiding Spring-Ford Area School District into the top 2% of Pennsylvania’s 500 public school districts. Under his leadership, the district expanded its Advanced Placement program and launched the innovative Hybrid Learning Center—the first of its kind in the nation.
In 2012, Spring-Ford received the prestigious National Blue Ribbon Award—the first in the district’s history. Joe also spearheaded the establishment of a student exchange program with Limerick, Ireland, fostering international connections that included meetings with Ireland’s president and prime minister to discuss educational collaboration.
Committed to community engagement, Joe has enhanced communication with parents and taxpayers by hosting town hall meetings and actively utilizing social media platforms. He has also advocated at the state Capitol on key issues such as pension reform, equitable school funding, property tax reform, and unfunded mandates.
Additionally, Joe has served for seven years on the board of the Western Montgomery Career and Technical Center, including three years as chairperson. This institution offers valuable trade and technical education opportunities to high school students, preparing them for successful careers outside of traditional four-year colleges.
